What is MUN?
MUN is a student level educational simulation of the United Nations in which participants engage in diplomacy and international relations. The official language of MUN Conferences is English and MUNs consists of United Nation committees. Delegates, from different cities and countries, will be representatives of a country, a person, or an organization and delve into fruitful debates and address various global problems after they have gone through an intense process of detailed research on their position.

What makes GITOMUN different from other conferences?
GITOMUN'24 offers participants a brand new experience like never before in which you will find more advanced, professional and creative academic learning, yet, it will function with the same work ethic and considerate manner as before. Participants will enrich their cultural interaction since our conference will have international students from different countries and continents.

Which academic procedure will GITOMUN’24 follow?
GITOMUN'24 will follow Harvard Model United Nations Procedure throughout the conference days.

In which languages are committees organised in this conference?
The official languages of our conference are English and Arabic.

What is the dress code for the conference?
Our conference's dress code is Western business attire. Female participants must wear knee-length formal business attire, and male participants must wear a suit with a tie or bow tie.

How should I prepare for the conference?
Delegates attending the conference will receive study guides meticulously prepared by their committee's chairboards. These comprehensive study guides will cover all topics and queries relevant to the committee's agenda items, providing essential background information for thorough discussion and debate during the event.

Does applying mean I can participate?
Applying does not always equal to being a participant. In order for one to attend the conference, they have to receive an email stating that their application has been successfully approved by the secretariat. After the approval, participants must complete the payment of the obligatory fee according to the period of their application.
