The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is a committee of the UN which works to implement the decisions of The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS). It helps developing countries use outer space technology, ensure the peaceful use of space, establish legal and regulatory frameworks for space activities. UNOOSA conducts international workshops, training courses and pilot projects on topics that include remote sensing, satellite navigation, satellite meteorology, and tele-education.
